Brazilian Pastor Urges NJ Women to Take Lead in Combating Sexual Immorality: ‘Women Don’t Need to Be Sexy to Be Beautiful’
Pastor Sarah Sheeva, who is a prominent speaker promoting abstinence in Brazil, held a women’s only service in Kearny, New Jersey recently where she appealed for a return to a more conservative way of life to combat current day sexual immorality.
Sheeva suggested that people return to a 50’s-like conservative fashion to eradicate sexual temptations abundant in modern day society.
The pastor preached in Portuguese in a so called “Princess Service,” at the Abundant Life Community Church (CEVA) last Thursday night. English and Spanish speakers also attended the event with respective translation given.
“She [the character of the 50’s] wants to rescue a fashion that has been lost, a fashion that makes women beautiful without sex appeal. It’s a fashion that rescues and values the female body,” Sheeva said in an interview with The Christian Post.
Some feminists have criticized Sheeva’s proposals as taking women a step backwards. However, Sheeva explains, “I am fighting for our right to be respected without having to use sex appeal.”
“Women are increasingly wearing vulgar clothes, devaluing themselves. And that is a sexist way of thinking.”
Pastor Sheeva made her point by wearing a frilly blue with white polka-dot dress for the “Princess Service.” She admitted that it was not the kind of dress she would ordinarily wear in her every day life, but she wanted to show women that they didn’t need to be “sexy” in the more crude modern way of thinking, to be “beautiful and attractive.”
Sheeva’s preaching on the subject may seem backwards from most modern day women’s way of thinking, however, her words are having an affect, and it has been noticed that attendees of her service are changing the way they dress.
“They embellish themselves to go to the Princess Service, learning how to love themselves without having to be ‘sexy’.”
The women-only service consists of lessons that teach women how not to attract the wrong type of men, and are promoted as based on biblical principles. The message highlight the fact that women should send the right signals to men, and that all begins from the way they are dressed.
Sheeva points out that many women attract wrong men even inside the church and, according to her, this is due the way they act outwardly, which is caused by cultural influence as well as a lack of biblical knowledge.
In the first of her lessons during her Princess Service in CEVA she spoke about the book of Song of Songs, and in particular highlighted chapter 9, verses 8 and 9. She used these passages to explain how it describes two kinds of women: one who is like a wall and another who is like a door.
According to Sheeva, a “wall” describes women who value themselves, otherwise known as the ones who are “hard to get.” These kinds of women, she said, are “princesses.”
In contrast, a “door” describes those who easily compromise their own values to please men, and satisfy the desires of the flesh.
In order to change from a “door” to a “wall” lifestyle, Sheeva said women have to not only accept Christ deeply but equip themselves with the word of God, as well as putting it into practice in their daily lives.
Sheeva declared firmly that the Bible clearly teaches that sex should only be within the boundaries of marriage. “There is no such thing as ‘dating’,” she said.
She suggested though that a kiss was not necessarily a sin if conducted prior to marriage, but that it could trigger preparation for sex.
The pastor stated her belief that churches have the responsibility to monitor believers from the beginning of their path of faith, as well as provide proper discipleship and spiritual counseling. She also feels that all church pastors should provide counseling on sexuality to believers.
“In general, we should work with single people, because they often end up marrying because of external pressure. And often the solution is not marriage, but to first restore the individual emotionally. A person who has a lot of emotional baggage is not a person who is restored emotionally and certainly is not one ready to get married,” she said, recalling her own experience where she first came to church, but had to spend years being restored.
Sheeva also spoke of her dream to hold a Brazilian Marcana stadium-sized conference for “Princes” and “Princesses” in 2013. She wanted to do this “so they can unite in true fellowship, already knowing the principles of how to behave with each other.”

‘How to Get Rid of Jerks’: Brazilian Pastor to Promote Abstinence in NJ
A self-confessed “ex-nymphomaniac” Brazilian pastor and missionary from the International Cell Church is preparing to preach about how women can avoid attracting “jerks” in their lives. The controversial subject will be taught alongside teachings on sexuality and sanctification inNew Jersey in October.
Pastor Sarah Sheeva is preparing the teachings for an only-women service on October 4, and will follow that up with a Sanctification Seminar on Oct. 6-7 at the Abundant Life Evangelical Community Church (CEVA), in Kearny, New Jersey. The events will be held in Portuguese with English translation provided.
Sheeva was previously a well known secular singer in Brazil, but she has since come to testify throughout the Latin American country how God has worked in her and allowed her to control her sexual desires. She has now become a prominent speaker promoting sexual abstinence before marriage.
Her only-women services have become famous throughout Brazil and are now affectionately referred to as “Princess Services.” The services attempt to advise single women on issues related to sexuality and intimacy.
“There [in the Princess Service], single women learn how to stop attracting “Jerks” in their lives,” she explained in a recent email to The Christian Post.
The pastor underwent a conversion in 1999 and has gone on to testify about the extraordinary process of sanctification she experienced, which has prompted her to try and reach out to others struggling with similar issues related to sex and intimate relationships.
Pastor Sheeva has recently held her “Princess Service” and “Sanctification Seminar” for Portuguese-speaking believers in Florida.
Her Sanctification Seminars are open to singles as well as whole families, without gender or age restriction. However, male adults and children above 2-years-old are strictly prohibited from attending the Princess Services.

Virgins Wanted: Brazilian Woman Selling Virginity May Face Spiritual Consequences, Says Pastor.
Brazilian Catarina Migliorini, who is just 20-years-old, became a viral sensation in recent weeks after she decided to auction off her virginity to the highest bidder. The move has sparked a wave of criticism and debate about sexual morality and prostitution issues, with Christian leaders speaking out to offer guidance on sex and spirituality.
Migliorini reportedly brought her studies in Physical Education to a halt in order to take part in a documentary called “Virgins Wanted.” She has received widespread rebuke for her decision but she has attempted to justify her decision to saying, “Many people meet unknown people in bars, have sex on the same night and forget about them the next day; others lose their virginity with boyfriends but then after that things change.”
Brazilian Pastor Sarah Sheeva, who herself has remained abstinent for the past nine years, has weighed in on the highly publicized controversy, saying to The Christian Post that there are possible consequences to a person losing their virginity in the way Migliorini is attempting to.
According to the pastor, Migliorini will be spiritually connected to the man she has sexual relations with until the day she dies, even if she holds no long term feelings for him.
“Those who believe in the Scriptures know it reveals that sex is a covenant that goes beyond the physical body; it is a spiritual covenant between a man and a woman. This young woman will be connected to the man that she will have the sexual relationship with until death. She will be connected to him spiritually not emotionally,” Sheeva told CP.
The Brazilian pastor, who is a well known advocate for sexual abstinence before marriage, has said that unless Migliorini has an experience with Jesus, the covenant can never be broken. “Only the blood of Jesus Christ can clean and break an alliance like this, which is beyond the physical body, and involves the spiritual body.”
In a recently held women’s-only service in Kearny, New Jersey, the Brazilian pastor gave lessons on how women can value themselves without compromising their own values simply to please men and the desires of the flesh. The preacher was clear that according to Biblical teachings, sex should only be “within marriage.”
The director of the “Virgins Wanted” project is Australian. Justin Sisely has explained that the project has been a long time goal of his, and he originally had planned to hold the project in Las Vegas two years ago. However, because of the legal restrictions concerning prostitution there he was forced to move the idea back to his native Australia.
Twenty-year-old Migliorini signed up to work for the project with Sisely, and bids for her virginity have since reached $190,000. The project to sell the young woman’s virginity will eventually be turned into a full-length documentary if Sisely’s plans go ahead.
In previous statements, Migliorini has said she sees the project as a business transaction. She recently also announced that she plans to give a portion of the money raised by selling her virginity to charities in Santa Catarina state, in the southern part of Brazil.
Pastor Jaime Kemp, who has a Doctorate in Family Ministry, has previously expressed his indignation to The Christian Post about the matter, saying when he heard about the news it deeply saddened him.
“It is the use and abuse of the girl,” he said to CP. “We are using and abusing a person or a group of people. It is sad!”
Kemp, originally from California, has written a book about the 20 consequences of premarital sex, which attempts to open the eyes of youth to the issues of sex, and to realize that there are serious consequences to their actions when it comes to sex.
The “Virgins Wanted” project has said that the “encounter” between Migliorini and the highest bidder would take place on a private flight from Australia to the United States, apparently to avoid prostitution laws.

Micah

Hello there!
I have a burning question to ask you. Why do you still keep your name “Sheeva”? It is a contradiction to preach the Word and bear a name that contradicts It through the spritiual legality of the hinduism and its creed.
I understand the your name was your parents’ choice, but nothing for nothing, if you aspire to be a Pastor and be credible, the name got to go. For the uninformed, the name may be OK, but for anyone that has read about hinduism and its paganism, the name is hard to openly accept.
Rgds,
Ron
